Start with your pet’s resting measurements. Size labels such as XL and XXL vary between brands.
Measure before choosing
- Measure your pet’s length and width in their usual sleeping position.
- Allow room to turn and stretch.
- Compare those measurements with the selected product’s dimensions. Bolsters and cave walls reduce the usable sleeping area.
- For a crate bed, measure the inside of the crate as well.
Choose a shape
- Flat mattress: an open surface for pets who stretch out.
- Bolster or sofa bed: raised edges for pets who curl up or rest their heads on a side.
- Fleece crate bed: a cushioned layer inside a compatible crate or carrier.

A Kawaii bed can appear under both XL and XXL because those are separate options of the same product. For that bed, XL is 70 × 50 cm and XXL is 80 × 60 cm.
Care and materials
Check whether the whole bed or only its cover is washable. Some removable covers require hand washing. Follow the product’s care label, and check the listing for confirmed filling and lining details.
